The 16 Days worldwide in 2005
Mongolia

Mongolia started following activities under the 16 days campaign.

 

  • Training has been organized among ECPAT member organization on the 23rd of November 2005.
  • Organized press conference between 11 am-12 pm. NCAV’s director Mrs. Enkhajrgal, UNICEF representative Mr. R. Pardo, Children’s National Board’s director M. Togtokhnyam, National Gender Centre’s staff M. Bolormaa and Mongolian Beauty Congress’s head M. Erkhembayr are gave information about history of 16 days campaign and what’s going to be done.
  • Also during this 16 days campaign no TV stations in Mongolia will be broadcasting movie/programmes about violence or any kind of abuse.
  • Live programme broadcasted by Nisora (NGO) in the frame of “let’s not be quite” project FM 102.5 radio in the frame of “let’s not be quite” project.
  • Director of the NCAV Mrs. D. Enkhjargal gave 20 min live interview at the Eagle TV station.
  • Mongolian National radio broadcasted about 16 days campaign during its news hours on the 25th and 29th November.
  • News on “Onoodor” (Today), “Ardin Erh” “Zuunii Medee” newspaper on the 26th November.
  • “Uerhel” newspaper published an article about 16 days campaign.
  • Open forum was organized at the Bayangol hotel on Prevention of Domestic Violence National Programme (60 people).
  • “Violence against women-AIDS/STDs” open forum going to be on 1st December. (NCAV, Reproduction health NGO Network, Women’s NGO Network, ECPAT Network, Women Leadership Foundation, National Foundation of  Prevention against AIDS) (50 people)
  • Open forum/ information for 160 children at the Special Centre of  Children’s Discipline.
