The elected 8 women represent 44% of our MEPs, which is a considerably higher per cent in comparison to our representation so far – 28%.
What is the distribution by party? The order of the candidate lists is naturally reflected in the final results as well: the parties with the highest number of women MEPs are those, who had the highest number of women on their lists by the 5th place.
The charts and tables are prepared by the CWSP based on the information posted by the Central Electoral Commission on its official website: http://www.cikep2007.org/.
