On the 29-th of May 2006 a Draft Law on Ratification of the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) was submitted to the Parliament for discussions. The law was submitted by the Council of Ministers and the leading committee is the Parliamentary Committee on Human Rights and Religious Affairs (more about the draft here).
