The project has been implemented in cooperation with the organisations, members of the International Gender Policy Network from Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe, Caucus and Central Asia and was financed by the Open Society Foundation(trough ZuG) and the Presidency Fund. The overall objective of the project was to study the gender equality perspective in the development cooperation policies in Central, Eastern and Southeastern countries, Caucs and Centarl Asia and to draft recomendations for its strengthenning. Activities, implemented by CWSP : 1. Preparation of a short survey on the gender equality perspective in the national development cooperation policy and drafting of Advocacy Card for Bulgaria ; 2. Cooperation in the elaboration of the IGPN_Regional Report on Development_Cooperationa_and_Gender focusing on mainstreaming gender in EU policy and national policies on development cooperation and the IGPN Regional Advocacy Card ; 3. Organizing a discussion roundtable on the 16th of December 2008 on Gender Equality and Empowerement of Women in Development Cooperation, where were presented the results of the project, as well as the Ministry of Social Policy and Ministry of Foreign Affairs's opinions. 14 NGOs members of the Bulgarian Platforme for International Development and others working on development cooperation and gender equality and women's rights attended the discussion. Mrs. Luba zaharieva, chief expert in MFA presented ppt on : "Gender Equality in Bulgarian Development Cooperation Policy " .
