Since 2006 the CWSP has initiated the organization of national academic conferences, dedicated to gender equality issues, which will gather the representatives of academia, working in that field.

Because of the character of its work – providing information on gender equality for the wide public, the surveys and researches it conducts, finances and publishes in the series “Gender Equality Monitoring Agency”, the CWSP has managed to establish a long and successful collaboration with individual researchers, as well as academic structures, institutions and organizations, focused on the topic. 

The intention is through such forums to open new opportunities for collaboration and dialogue between the scientists and civil society on a number of serious and neglected by the Bulgarian humanitarian and social sciences issues, related to gender equality in all spheres of life. The CWSP hopes that the conferences will become annual events, which will build a community of experts knowing each other and recognized by the society.
