10 June is the International Day of Roma Women since 1998, when was held the first multinational Roma Women's Congress in Budapest.

In 2004, on the occasion of the International Day of Roma Women, the Roma Program of the OSI, Sofia and the CWSP published the second book with awarded essay from the National Competition “I’ll tell you about a Roma woman…”
