On the 13 April the Parliament took two important decision that were expected for more than a year after the entry into force of the Law on the Ombudsman and the Law for Protection against Discrimination. The Commission’s Chair and deputy chair and members as well as the Parliamentary Ombudsman were finally elected.
The Commission for Protection against Discrimination is chaired by the MP Kemal Eyup, and his deputy is Lalo Kamenov.
For ombudsman was elected Ginyo Ganev, MP from the left wing, after two unsuccessful votes last year for the candidate sociologist Petar-Emil Mitev.
