The focus of the Sofia Forum shall be a discussion on the results of the inquiries, made by the partner organizations on young people’s opinions and awareness of gender based discrimination and anti-discrimination legislation, gender roles and the opportunities of EU membership to influence positively national legislation.

The Sofia Forum is the second forum under the project “Young women are building bridges for EU partnership” The first one was held in Ankara on the 20^th  of April, 2006. Our ambition for the Sofia Forum is to inform and raise the awareness of the public on the opinion of young people in Bulgaria on gender equality and young people’s expectations from the EU membership with regard to gender equality.
